I also agree that it is a powerful message. It is what freedom is all about!
Most people know that we have a government that has gone from "of the people, for the people, and by the people" to one "of big business, for big business, and by big business". What this means for America is best explained with a quote from Benito Mussolini- "FASCISM should more appropiately be called corporatism, because it's a merger between state and corporate power." Two other quotes apply to the Patriot Act: "Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human liberty, it is the argument of tyrants, it is the creed of slaves." -William Pitt, before the British House of Commons. "They who would give up essential liberty for a little temporary security, deserve neither liberty nor security!" -Benjamin Franklin In Freedom and Liberty, Von Kidd |

A good to quote to think about:
"Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country." Hermann Goering, Hitler's Reich-Marshall The Nuremberg Trials, after WW11 Also: "But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever." John Adams, letter to Abigail Adams, July 17, 1775 |

Trust the Government?
Dislike the war? Tired of the continuing threat of the New World Order? Do you want more control of this country? Don?t want to get arrested for saying NO WAR? I didn?t think so. www.ronpaul2008.com Brief Overview of Congressman Pauls Record He has never voted to raise taxes. He has never voted for an unbalanced budget. He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership. He has never voted to raise congressional pay. He has never taken a government-paid junket. He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch. He voted against the Patriot Act. He voted against regulating the Internet. He voted against the Iraq war. He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program. He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year. |
